Neither the Dems nor the Republicans believe in the rule of law or the constitution. They talk a great game - Blah! Blah! Blah! When it comes time to act, tho, they run and hide.
So true. Surveys showed corruption was as big an issue with voters as the economy. We have to deal with both — as Sen. Warnock put it, “We can walk and chew gum at the same time.” And indeed we should. Great column. But right now, I still want to bask in this transformational mindset shift for America. I’m not saying everything will forever more be hunky-dory, but no one can assume the South (in this instance, including Texas) is intractably GOP anymore. We’ve got evidence of possibility. Let that truth ring out across the land.
Their responses are the prudent way to approach the new reality. Publicly making retribution a priority is the way you lose the same voters. Sending that to committees will get them to the right spot for retribution, but without making them sound as petty and vindictive as Trump.
If Dems truly wish to end corruption they will find new leadership. Then they will deliver to the electorate on their "mandate" as Mayor Mamdani did, by fixing the f'ing potholes.
Agree. New leadership to end corruption is required. Dems are part of the reason 2024 happened. Corruption and back door funding to politicians needs to stop. Take a real look at the supreme court, too.
Seems that the Dem establishment is still listening to their corporate and foreign donors and ignoring the will of the American people.
They still have to atone for allowing Trump 2.0 to run amok for two years, gutting everything that made America a moral (more or less) force in an amoral world.
Remove them
Ditch them both !

I think there's a difference between retribution and appropriate investigation. What Trump has done with the DOJ is retribution.
Voters made clear that ending corruption is at the top of their list.
Bottom line: Democrats need to walk and chew gum at the same time. They need to legislate and investigate.

You ain’t gonna lose this voter by getting even. Just sayin. Getting even is the first step to getting shit straightened out.
Don’t fuck with us dude. You hear us?
Put these two in the back bench. The next election, primary them.
Dems remain on their knees… 🖕🏻🤡😎
They are unfit to lead. Disgusting!
To hell with both
AOC FOR SPEAKER

The last gasp of their dying legitimacy.
